The pre-planning consultation has now concluded. However there are aspects of the proposal which will require further discussion with the community.


For example, many people wanted to know whether a new leisure /sports centre for the town could be enabled by the development and The Crown Estate is looking to see whether a partnership can be forged to help deliver this.

On education, the proposal includes a primary school and The Crown Estate is liaising closely with the education authority on what the implications and requirements may be for secondary education in the long term. And on many topics from cycle ways to the lake based recreation further input on the detail will be needed from the local community.
